"The NBA ... uses its unique position to bring attention to important social issues on a global scale, constantly looking for creative ways to actively improve the quality of life in all communities."
– NBA CARES Mission Statement

"Role model is something that comes with my job description. It's a given that kids will look up to you."
– Jason Kidd

As an NBA player, you have a unique opportunity to make an impact – on kids, on communities, on the world. Dream big here, think broad and ask yourself: How do I want to make an impact? Do I want to start a foundation? Join forces with one that’s already established? Donate time and funds to a local project? Let’s break down that vision to do-able, fun action steps and watch your dream take flight.

And, making an impact isn’t always about "doing" – it’s also about "being" – what kind of example, what kind of inspiration do you want to be? What parts of your personality do you want to have shine when you’re on the court and in the press? What do you want to be known for? When you get really clear here, when we articulate what the best version of yourself could be, we can design your actions to follow.
